2004 Mandalay 40ft 3 slides The Test Subject (Meet the Coach)

As you can see Bella is in charge and has to know what is going on every moment.
This coach is the test subject—the guinea pig. It’s the Class A diesel pusher I’m using to do all the upgrades, modifications, and repairs documented on this site.
The rig is a 2004 Mandalay, 40 feet, with three slides. It has 66,200 miles, and I’m the second owner.
I’ve already removed the Durashield from the front of the coach, which I’ll be doing a full write-up on. Over time, I’ve also completed a lot of smaller upgrades—many of them simple, practical, and very affordable—that I’ll be sharing so others can do the same.
One example is the Centramatic wheel balancers. The coach originally had liquid balancing, which didn’t work very well. The Centramatics were a noticeable improvement, and I’ll be doing a dedicated post on them as well.
This coach is where everything gets tested first—what works, what doesn’t, and what’s actually worth doing.
